Why does the flag sit at half staff?
Because someone is not here anymore and the flag cannot laugh.
When the flag is up high it laughs with the wind,
But when it’s at half staff it’s quiet and brim.
In every day there should always be time to laugh, have ice cream and play,
But it’s also important to have time to be quiet and pray.
So when you see a flag that sits at half staff remember to say:
“Thank you God for this day.”
